Drumstick Leaves Dal Murungakeerai Paruppu

Ingredients

Chilly powder tsp 1
Cumin seeds tsp 1/4
Drumstick leaves cup 1
Mustard seeds tsp 1/4
Oil tbsp 1
Onion chopped number 1
Red chilly number 3
Salt to taste
Tamarind juice tbsp 1
Tur daal (boiled) cup1
Turmeric pinch
Whole garlic number 6

Directions

First boil the tur dal and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan add red chilly, mustard seeds, when mustard seeds splutter, add cumin seeds, whole garlic, sauté it and add chopped onions, salt, sauté it for 2 minutes, add turmeric, add leaves of drumsticks, add chilly powder, tamarind juice, once it comes to boil add tur daal (boiled) cook it some time and switch off the flame. Serve this hot with rice.
